　　《角斗士》剧情介绍：公元180年，罗马帝国的老皇帝马库斯·奥里利乌斯和罗马军队里最有威望的将军马克西姆斯托付，希望立他为自己皇位的继承人，这一表态立即引起了马库斯的儿子卡默多斯的强烈不满。权欲熏心的卡默多斯竟然弑父篡位，并下令杀死马克西姆斯。

　　马克西姆斯潜逃埋名，被迫成为竞技场里用性命的搏杀来娱乐观众的角斗士。他本身丰富的作战经验使他逐步成为最著名和最受欢迎的角斗士之一。
